Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Qualification 2024

To qualify for the Navik (General Duty) role, candidates must have successfully completed their 12th grade education with a focus on Mathematics and Physics from a board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).

For the Yantrik position, applicants should have finished their 10th grade at a COBSE-accredited education board and hold a Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering, which should last either 3 or 4 years and be sanctioned by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Alternatively, candidates may also be eligible if they have completed both 10th and 12th grades from a COBSE-recognized board and possess a Diploma in one of the aforementioned engineering disciplines for a duration of 2 or 3 years, also approved by AICTE.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment Age Limit 2024

To qualify for the roles of Navik (GD) and Yantrik, applicants should be aged between 18 and 22 years. Specifically, candidates must have been born between March 1, 2003, and February 28, 2007, covering both dates. Additionally, it’s crucial to highlight that there is an age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, but this applies only when the positions are reserved for these groups.
