By submitting these details, they will receive information on nearby schools within various distance ranges (0-1, 1-3, 3-6, >6 Kms.) by clicking on Step-2 to Step-5 buttons.
If the specific Locality/Sub-Locality/Sub-Sub-Locality is not available in the drop-down menu, individuals should choose the nearest option from the list provided. Up to six schools within 6 Kms can be selected, but only a maximum of five schools beyond 6 Kms.

Delhi RTE School Admission Age Criteria 2026-27?
Cutoff Date 31st March 2026: For the Delhi RTE School Admission process for the upcoming session 2026-27, parents seeking EWS/DG admission are required to adhere to specific age criteria for the Entry Level Classes. Children applying for Nursery/Pre-school should be between 3 to 5 years old as of March 31, 2020. Similarly, for KG/Pre-Primary, the age range is set at 4 to 6 years by the same date. As for admission to Class-I, children must fall within the age bracket of 5 to 7 years by March 31, 2020.

On the other hand, those with a slightly lower but still respectable achievement of 45% marks or above in aggregate of 5 main subjects are eligible for admission in humanities with skill subjects, providing a pathway for diverse academic pursuits.

Guideline for Students
(A) Candidates who are allotted schools through the computerized draw of lots (called successful candidates) will receive an SMS on their registered mobile number within 24 hours. The message will include the allotted school details and the address of the Document Verification Centre under the EWS/DG/CWSN category. The list of selected candidates will also be published on the official website: www.edudel.nic.in.
(a) Applicants can check their allotted school by entering their Registration ID and Date of Birth under the link “EWS/DG Result 2026-27” in the “EWS/DG Admission 2026-27” section on the homepage.
(b) If selected, the screen will display the school name and the Document Verification Centre details.
(c) If not selected, the message will appear: “It is regretted that you have not been selected in the draw of lots.”
(d) If incorrect details are entered, the message will appear: “No Record Found.”
(B) Selected candidates must visit the Document Verification Centre as per the schedule in Annexure-A with the following documents (as per the online application):
- Two printouts of the application form
- Two passport-size photos of the child
- Two copies of the child’s Aadhaar card
- Two copies of parents’ Aadhaar cards
- Two self-attested copies of proof of date of birth
- Two self-attested copies of residence proof
- Two self-attested copies of EWS/DG/CWSN category proof (if applicable)
- Two self-attested copies of legal guardianship documents (if applicable)
Parents/guardians must also carry original documents for verification. Details of the centres are given in Annexure-B.
(C) If a selected candidate does not visit the Document Verification Centre as per the given schedule, their admission under the EWS/DG/CWSN category will be cancelled.
(D) Once a school is allotted through the draw, it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
(E) Admission will be cancelled if any submitted documents are found to be fake, forged, or invalid at any stage.
(F) A child’s application will be rejected if they have already used the one-time admission benefit under the EWS/DG/CWSN category in previous years in a private unaided recognized school (except minority schools).
