The application period is from April 22, 2024, to May 20, 2024. TN RTE Application Online Form 2024-25 | How to Apply & Step-by-Step Guide: The application process for TN RTE for the academic year 2024-25 can be completed online by following these steps:

Step 1: To apply for students online, please log in to the following link: https://rteadmission.tnschools.gov.in
Step 2: Select “Start Application” to begin the application process for the candidate. Fill in the necessary details in the form and upload the relevant documents.
Step 3: Provide personal details as specified in the form and save the information. Ensure that the attached documents are referenced correctly. An SMS will be sent for registered applications.
Step 4: Input the parent details as indicated in the form and save the information.

TN RTE Admission 2024-25: Required Documents

Please ensure to upload digital copies of the following required documents. In addition to the online submission, physical copies must be presented to the school during the admission process. The documents needed are as follows:

  1. Student Photo: The dimensions must be Width-150px, Height-175px, and the image size should not exceed 100 KB.
  2. Proof of Birth of student: Only JPG / JPEG files are accepted with a maximum size of 1 MB.
  3. Parent ID (Father or Mother or Guardian): Only JPG / JPEG files are acceptable with a maximum size of 1 MB.
  4. Address Proof: Acceptable formats are JPG / JPEG with a maximum size of 1MB. Valid options include:

TN RTE Admission 2024-25: LKG & Class-1 Certificates Required

For the Tamil Nadu RTE Admission 2024-25, applicants for LKG and Class-1 are required to submit relevant certificates during online registration. The necessary certificates can be obtained from the designated Competent Authority as follows:

  5. Certificate for Orphaned children: Issued by the District Social Welfare Officer, Department of Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme.
  6. Certificate for HIV-affected individuals: Provided by a Medical Officer authorized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
  7. Certificate for Transgender individuals: Issued by a Medical Officer authorized by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
  8. Children of Scavenging workers employed by local bodies: Authorized by the respective Commissioners or Executive officers of corporations, municipalities, town panchayats, and village panchayats.
  9. Children of Scavenging workers not employed by local bodies: Authorization to be given by the District Collector or the designated authority appointed by the District Collector.

TN RTE School Admission Eligibility Criteria 2024-25

To be eligible for TN RTE School Admission 2024 in Tamil Nadu, the child must be a resident of Tamil Nadu, belong to the EWS category with a family income less than 2 lakh rupees, and be within the specified age range. Children seeking admission to LKG should have reached the age of 3 years, while those applying for Class-1 should have turned 5 years old.

Similarly, children applying for admission to Class 1 must have been born between August 1, 2018, and July 31, 2019. Preference is given to certain categories like disabled children individuals.
