UCO Bank is now accepting online applications from individuals interested in becoming apprentices as per the Apprentice Act of 1961, including its amendments. Interested candidates should submit their applications through the website https://nats.education.gov.in.
Applicants can select only one state for their engagement. Prior to applying, candidates must confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements as of the specified date. Comprehensive details regarding the online written examination or interview process, lists of candidates who have been shortlisted, and results for those provisionally selected will be posted on the Bank’s website.

UCO Bank Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2024
Nationality/Citizenship: To qualify, a candidate must meet one of the following criteria: (i) be an Indian citizen, (ii) be a citizen of Nepal, (iii) be a citizen of Bhutan, (iv) be a Tibetan refugee who entered India before January 1962 intending to settle permanently, or (v) be of Indian descent who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African nations such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly known as Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the goal of permanent residence in India. Candidates in categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Age Requirements: Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old as of July 1, 2024. This means candidates should have been born no earlier than July 2, 1996, and no later than July 1, 2004 (inclusive).
– The age limit specified applies to unreserved and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
– It is important to note that applicants will not be allowed to change their category at any point.
– Age relaxations are available as follows:
– Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST): 5 years
– Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) (OBC-NCL): 3 years
– Persons with Benchmark Disability under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”:
– SC/ST PwBD: 15 years
– OBC PwBD: 13 years
– Unreserved/EWS PwBD: 10 years
– Widows, divorced women, and legally separated women who have not remarried: up to 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST
– Individuals affected by the 1984 riots: 5 years
Candidates requesting age relaxation must provide the necessary original certificates along with photocopies during document verification or at any point in the engagement process.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates should possess a graduate degree from a university or institution recognized by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies. The results for this qualification must have been announced before July 1, 2024, and candidates must present their mark sheets and provisional or degree certificates from their respective universities or colleges when required by the bank.
UCO Bank Apprentice Training Period 2024
The total duration of training is scheduled to be one full year, commencing from the date of contract signing, during which participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance their skills and knowledge in the relevant field. Throughout this year-long period, trainees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of learning modules, practical exercises, and assessments, all aimed at ensuring their competence and readiness for real-world applications.
UCO Bank Apprentice Recruitment Stipend 2024
During the period of apprenticeship, a monthly stipend of Rs 15,000/- will be provided to the apprentice, which includes any applicable subsidy amount that may be offered by the Government of India. It is important to note that the apprentices are not eligible for any additional allowances or benefits beyond this stipend.
Specifically, UCO Bank will facilitate the smooth payment of Rs 10,500/- directly into the apprentices’ accounts on a consistent monthly basis, ensuring timely and reliable financial support. Furthermore, the Government’s contribution to the stipend, amounting to Rs 4,500/-, will be seamlessly credited to the apprentices’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, in accordance with the current guidelines and regulations in place to promote transparency and efficiency in financial transactions.
UCO Bank Apprentice Mode of Selection 2024
The selection process for candidates includes screening and personal interviews, with the possibility of a written test if there is a high volume of applications. Details about the written test, including registration and fees, will be available on the Bank’s website. Candidates must register for the test to remain eligible. A screening committee will assess eligibility, and the Bank will not entertain correspondence regarding this. Minimum qualifying marks will be set, with a relaxation for specific categories. A merit list will be created based on test and interview scores, and the Bank retains the right to modify selection criteria or reject applications not meeting their requirements.

A comprehensive waitlist, organized by state categories, will be diligently maintained for a duration of one year from the date of the results regarding the engagement of apprentices, or until the next engagement exercise takes place, whichever occurs first. Throughout this period, candidates will be released from this waitlist only on one occasion, and this release will be contingent upon the availability of qualified candidates who are ready and willing to join. This structured approach ensures that the process remains fair and organized, allowing for a smooth transition as opportunities arise for those on the waitlist.
