SSC CHSL Exam 2024: Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination: The Staff Selection Commission conducts a Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam every year at the national level government to select Higher Secondary qualified students for various departments and offices of the Indian government. Every year, thousands of vacancies are filled by SSC in Government departments through the Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam, and lakhs of candidates apply for this exam.
This year, the Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC CHSL (10+2) exam to recruit 3712 vacant posts for Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO). The SSC CHSL (10+2) exam includes Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator posts. SSC will select and recommend candidates for Assistant/Clerk posts through a computer-based test, and skill test or typing test.
The SSC CHSL exam is held in 2 stages called Tiers. The entire process of registration, examination, and final selection is meticulously carried out to ensure the recruitment of the most qualified candidates for these prestigious positions in the Indian government.

The SSC CHSL Exam 2024 has progressed smoothly, with the online application process, online fee payment duration, and correction of application form periods all successfully completed. The next phase involves the written examination of Tier-I, which is set to take place from 1st July 2024 to 5th July 2024 and then from 8th July 2024 to 11th July 2024. As for the Tier-II examination dates, those will be communicated at a later time.

SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (as on 1st August 2024) for SSC CHSL Exam 2024 is a key requirement for candidates aiming for various positions. For the Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO)/DEO Grade ‘A’ roles (except DEOs in specific Departments/Ministries), individuals must have successfully completed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. Additionally, for those aspiring to be Data Entry Operators (DEOs)/DEO Grade ‘A’ within the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of Culture, a 12th Standard pass in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent is necessary.
The age limit for applicants interested in the posts is set between 18 to 27 years, meaning candidates who were born not before 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08-2006 are within the eligible range. Additionally, age-relaxation is permissible beyond the upper age limit as per the existing rules and regulations in place.
SSC CHSL Exam 2024 Salary Package
In the SSC CHSL Exam 2024, the salary package for various positions is as follows:
For Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), the pay scale is in Pay Matrix Level-2, with a basic pay of Rs. 19,900. If posted in metro cities, the total salary amounts to Rs. 37,845.
For Data Entry Operator (DEO), the pay scale is in Pay Matrix Level-5, with a basic pay of Rs. 29,200. If posted in metro cities, the total salary amounts to Rs. 57,960.
For Data Entry Operator, Grade A, the pay scale is in Pay Matrix Level-4, with a basic pay of Rs. 25,500. If posted in metro cities, the total salary amounts to Rs. 51,300.
