2024 Lok Sabha Election Schedule: Dates, Phases, and Highlights: The General Election in India is set to commence once again in 2024, marking a significant electoral event for the nation lasting up to 44 days. The Chief Election Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar, unveiled the Lok Sabha Election for the forthcoming Lok Sabha election today. The electoral process will unfold in 7 phases, commencing on April 19 and concluding on June 1, with the results slated for announcement on June 4. Notably, Tamil Nadu is scheduled to hold its election in a single phase on April 19, 2024.

During a press briefing, the Election Commission reiterated its commitment to addressing concerns such as the misuse of power, financial influence, dissemination of false information, and breaches of the Model Code of Conduct, all of which have the potential to impact the integrity of the electoral process. With the current Lok Sabha term concluding on June 16 and the impending formation of a new House, the election must proceed smoothly. Furthermore, four state assemblies are also set to see their terms expire in June.

An estimated 970 million individuals are eligible to participate in the upcoming election, with provisions made for voters aged 85 and above to cast their ballots from the comfort of their homes. The Election Commission has assured that essential amenities including drinking water and restroom facilities will be available at all polling stations to ensure a seamless voting experience.

This discourse will delve into the timetable of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election Schedule in India alongside public opinion polls.
