Dearness Allowance for KVS Teachers and Staff
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangahtna, a prominent educational institution, has recently issued a directive stating that all teaching and non-teaching staff employed within the KVS system will receive a significant increase in their compensation. Effective as of the 1st of July 2024, a generous 53% Dearness Allowance has been approved for all employees, regardless of their specific roles within the organization.
This additional financial benefit is to be calculated based on 50 percent of their respective Basic pay, ensuring that every category of employee within KVS is fairly compensated. Furthermore, to alleviate any potential financial strain, the Dearness Allowance for the initial two months of January and February will be paid as arrears, while the allowance for the month of March will be included in the upcoming salary disbursement.
KV Teachers First Month Salary: Updated May 2025
A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) employed at a Kendriya Vidyalaya in metropolitan cities will receive an approximate gross monthly salary of Rs. 91,080 without any deductions. Initially, two deductions will be applicable, namely NPS and CGEGIS.
