Delhi Government School Admission Session 2025-26: Pre-Primary, KG, Class-1, 6 to 9, 10 and 12

Delhi Government School Admission Form 2025-26: Admission is now open for Nursery, KG, and Class-1 at Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya for the academic year 2025-26. This opportunity is for filling up any vacant seats in the Pre Primary & Primary Classes within Delhi Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas. The admissions will be granted manually on a First Come First Serve basis at all the Government Sarvodaya Vidyalayas from the 15th of April 2025 to the 14th of May 2025. Preference will be given to children residing within a 1 km radius of the school, and if no Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is available nearby, those within a 3 km radius will also be considered eligible to apply for admission.

Delhi Government School Admission Eligibility 2025

The Delhi Government School Admission 6 to 9 for the academic year 2025-26 has specific age criteria for each class as of March 31, 2025. Documents Required for Admission to Delhi Government School Admission for Grades 6-9 in the Academic Year 2025-26:

Parents or guardians are to present the following documents to the Head of the designated school during the admission process:

  • (i) A single passport-sized photograph of the student.
  • (ii) For grades VI to VIII: A verified school leaving certificate from a recognized institution, an original Date of Birth Certificate issued by the MCD or a similar Local Body, or a written declaration from the parents regarding the student’s Date of Birth. For grade IX: A verified school leaving certificate from a recognized institution.
  • (iii) Transcript of the previous academic year, if applicable.
  • (iv) Any of the subsequent documents as proof of residence in Delhi:
  • (a) BPL Card/Ration Card in the parents’ name with the child’s name included.
  • (b) Domicile certificate of the child or parents.
  • (c) Voter Identity card of either parent.
  • (d) Utility bills (electricity, MTNL telephone, water) in the name of either parent.
  • (e) Bank Passbook in the child’s or parents’ name.
  • (f) Aadhaar Card of the child or parents.

  • (h) Driver’s license of either parent.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26: Age Criteria

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya has set criteria for admissions for the academic year 2025-26, based on the age of the students applying for different classes. For the Nursery Class, children are required to have completed 3 years of age but be less than 4 years as of 31-03-2025, which means they must have been born between 01-04-2021 and 31-03-2022. For KG, the age criteria stipulate that children should have completed 4 years of age but be less than 5 years as of 31-03-2025, with birthdates falling between 01-04-2020 to 31-03-2021.

Lastly, for Class I, students must have completed 5 years of age but be less than 6 years by 31-03-2025, indicating that they should have been born between 01-04-2019 and 31-03-2020. These age specifications ensure that the children are developmentally ready for the respective classes offered at Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26: Vicinity Conditions

In the process of Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26, the admission of children will be based on a specific order of priority. Firstly, children who reside within a 1 KM radius of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya will be given preference, followed by children living within a 3 KM radius of Sarvodaya Vidyalaya with no other Sarvodaya Vidyalaya within 1 KM of their residence.

Subsequently, children residing within a 3 KM radius of the Sarvodaya Vidyalaya but not falling into the previous categories will be considered. For children residing beyond the 3 KM radius, the concerned Head of School will require an undertaking from the parents ensuring the safe transportation of the child. In cases where no Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is available within a 3 KM radius of a child’s residence, the child may apply for admission in the nearest Sarvodaya Vidyalaya to their home.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26: Required Documents

Parents or guardians are required to present the following documents during the admission process (for selected students post draw of lots): For Verification of Date of Birth (choose one):

  • Official Date of Birth Certificate issued by MCD or another local authority.
  • Anganwadi records.
  • Documentation from Hospital/Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) register.
  • Parental Confirmation of Date of Birth as per Part-B of the Application Form.
  • Additionally, one recent passport-sized photograph of the child is needed.
  • As proof of residency in Delhi, any one of the following documents will be accepted:
  • Ration Card with parents’ and child’s names.
  • Domicile certificate for the child or parents.
  • Voter ID card for either parent.
  • Utility bills (Electricity/MTNL telephone/Water) in the name of a parent.
  • Bank Passbook under the child’s or parent’s name.
  • Aadhaar card for the child or parent.
  • Passport for the child or parent.

Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025-26: Reservation Quota

In the Delhi Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Admission for the academic year 2025-26, a specific Reservation Quota has been established to ensure fair representation and access for all eligible candidates. According to the guidelines, seat allocation will be as follows:

  • 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, providing them with a designated opportunity for enrollment.
