Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme Benefits
The eligible mothers/guardians will be sanctioned ₹ 14000/- which will be deposited directly into the beneficiaries’ savings account of the Nationalized Bank / Post Office in January every year until the child passes Class 12th. An amount of ₹ 1000/- from each beneficiary shall be deducted at the source and released to School/College Committee as District Toilet Maintenance Fund (DTMF) under the control of the District Collector.
Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme Eligibility
To qualify for the Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme, the primary caregiver must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh. Their child must be enrolled in a recognized educational institution from Class 1 to Class 12 within the state. The scheme was implemented starting from the Academic Year 2019-20.
For eligibility, the total family income should not exceed ₹10,000 per month in rural areas and ₹12,000 per month in urban areas (BPL category). It is essential that no family member of the child is a government employee or pensioner, with an exception for families of sanitation workers. Additionally, the applicant’s family should not possess a four-wheeler, excluding taxis, tractors, and autos.
Furthermore, the average monthly electricity consumption of the applicant’s residence should not exceed 300 units, and no family member should pay income tax. The residential land area under municipal jurisdiction should be less than 1000 sq. ft. Lastly, the child’s attendance in school must be a minimum of 75% to be considered for the scheme.

Step 1: The School Headmaster / Inter College Principal will provide student details, including Name, age, parent name, Caste (General, SC, ST, BCs, Minority), and Disabled Children, in a specified proforma. This information will serve as the primary data source.
Step 2: The accuracy of the details will be verified using a 6-Step Check and by comparing it with Childinfo/UDISE data and other relevant departmental records. The designated officer at the institution must certify these details for payment processing.
Step 3: A Provisional List of Eligible Candidates will be posted at the village/ward secretariat for a Social Audit. Following the audit, a list of Ineligible Candidates will be compiled along with explanations for their ineligibility. Rejection notifications will be sent to the candidates.
Step 4: The final list of Eligible Candidates will be compiled by the Welfare Education Assistant / Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary and approved by the District Collector. Biometric e-KYC verification of the mother will be conducted by Volunteers / Welfare Education Assistant / Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary.
Step 5: Subsequently, the concerned District Educational Officers /District Vocational Educational Officer/Regional Educational Officer, Intermediate Education will digitally transfer financial aid to the beneficiaries’ savings bank accounts. Acknowledgment of payment receipt through biometric authentication will be obtained by Volunteers / Welfare Education Assistant / Ward Education & Data Processing Secretary from the mothers.

The Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme for the year 2024 has specific requirements in terms of documentation.
