TN Anganwadi Recruitment 2025: The Government of Tamil Nadu has embarked on numerous initiatives to enhance the infrastructure of Anganwadi centers throughout the state. These measures aim to ensure that each Anganwadi center is equipped with a solid, permanent building that meets all necessary requirements. These structures include dedicated areas for children’s activities, a separate kitchen for meal preparation, storage facilities for food items, child-friendly restroom facilities, and ample space for recreational activities.

The designated land area for the construction of each Anganwadi center ranges from 1500 to 2000 square feet, with a minimum built-up area of 600 square feet. The construction of these centers is carried out in collaboration with the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, as well as the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). From 2016 to 2019, a significant number of Anganwadi centers have been constructed, and the government has proposed to continue this effort by constructing new buildings for an additional 1303 centers in the year 2019-2020.
