Educational Qualifications for UPPSC Agriculture Services 2024

For Group ‘A’ positions such as Distt. Horticulture Officer, Group–2 Grade–1, and Principal Govt. Food Science Training Center/ Food Processing Officer, Group–2, a B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture from a recognized university or institute is required. Alternatively, candidates may possess a B.Sc. with Chemistry as a subject or a B.Sc. in Agriculture followed by a two-year Post-graduate Associate Course in Fruit and Vegetable Technology from recognized institutions. Additionally, candidates with an M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Preservation, or Food Science from recognized institutions are also eligible.

For Group ‘B’ positions like Senior Technical Assistant Group-A in various branches, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in the relevant field from a recognized university or institution. Graduates in Agriculture are preferred for these positions. Specifically, for roles in Agronomy, Botany, Plant Protection, Chemistry, and Development branches, candidates need specialized postgraduate degrees in the respective fields.
