KV Balvatika Admission Merit List 2025-26 Declared Today: India’s largest school network, comprising more than 1,200 establishments, is run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The KVS normally opens enrollment for entry-level courses in March of each academic year. Balvatika-1, Balvatika-2, and Class-1 admissions for the 2025–2026 school year began on March 7, 2025, at 10 AM. The official portal for Class-1 online registration is available at kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. The online registration procedure has been changed. The online application form can be submitted using this portal by March 24, 2025, at 10 PM. KVS has also added a new website, balvatika.kvs.gov.in, for Balvatika classes 1 and 3. The new deadline for Balvatika admissions is now March 26, 2025, at 10:00 PM.

Balvatika Lottery Results 2025-26 Available Online Today!

As to KVS’s latest release, the Balvatika classes 1 and 3 lottery results will be made public on March 28, 2025, at 4 PM. According to KVS’s announcement, the online lottery draw will be conducted. According to the announcement, the principal of each KV school is required to adhere to the designated time and date for all KV schools.

Following the Draw of Lots, the selection list will be displayed for the convenience of the parents of the applicants on the Notice Board of each KV school. Furthermore, the entire selection list will be conveniently accessible in PDF format on their official website. Additionally, the Ministry of Education web has released the selection list for every category in all 1245 KV schools. This can be accessed directly at www.education.gov.in/kvs.

Access lists for Balvatika-1, Balvatika-2, and Balvatika-3 have been made public: How Can I Get There?

Whereas Balvatika-2 admissions are only handled offline, Balvatika-1 and Balvatika-3 admissions are handled fully online. The principal of each Kendriya Vidyalaya will conduct the Balvatika-1 and Balvatika-3 online lottery draw, and the results will be publicly disclosed as soon as possible.

The management of the school will offer offline applications to fill any vacancies in Balvatika-2 in compliance with KVS regulations. Please contact your nearest KV school for further details. The offline application form for Balvatika-2 is available at the relevant Kendriya Vidyalaya.

KV RTE Amendment Rules 2025 Notification PDF: Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) must be held by all schools, with the first meeting scheduled for April 2025. Subject: Implementation of RTE Amendment Rules in Kendriya Vidyalayas-reg.

Madam/Sir,

As intimated by the Ministry of Education vide letter dated 15.01.2025, the RTE Amendment Act, 2019, which revised the ‘No-Detention’ provision under Sections 16 and 38 of the RTE Act, 2009, has been in effect since 1st March 2019. Accordingly, the Central Government, as the competent authority for Kendriya Vidyalayas, has amended the RTE Rules, 2010, to incorporate these changes. The amendments have been notified in the Gazette of India (G.S.R. 777(E), dated 16th December 2024, and published on 21st December 2024. In this regard for effective implementation of the RTE Amendment Rules, it is requested to direct the Principals of all KVs under the Region to implement the following guidelines for in Classes V and VIII with effect from 2025-26 onwards.

1. The amended provisions concerning Class V and VIII will come into effect from the Academic Session 2025-26.
2. Informing Principals and teachers: The Principals and teachers should be thoroughly sensitised on the provision and the monitoring of academic progress of the students.
3. Conduct of Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs): All schools must conduct first PTM in April 2025 and inform all stakeholders- students and parents/ guardians about the contents of the Gazette notification to ensure awareness of the changes. Additionally, KVs may issue a separate communication to parents in writing detailing these provisions. This provision needs to be highlighted in subsequent PTMs also.
4. After the Annual Examinations, students who do not meet the promotion criteria, as notified from time to time, shall receive additional instructions and be given an opportunity for re examination within two months of the result declaration especially before Summer Vacation.
5. During this period, the concerned subject teacher must provide necessary guidance to the student and parents, offering targeted support to address identified learning gaps and improve academic performance.
6. Schools must enhance communication with parents regarding their child’s academic progress. Teachers should actively engage with parents to discuss learning gaps and the remedial measures being implemented.
7. The Principal must maintain a record of students held back and personally monitor the specialized support provided to them, ensuring regular follow-ups to track progress.
8. The examination and re-examination will follow a competency-based approach, emphasizing holistic development over rote memorization and procedural skills, thereby fostering deeper understanding and overall growth.
9. If a student fails to meet the promotion criteria in the re-examination, he/ she shall be retained in Class V or VIII, as applicable.
10. No child shall be expelled from the school until the completion of elementary education, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to complete their schooling.

Therefore,it is requested to direct to ensure the effective implementation of these provisions in all Kendriya Vidyalayas under the jurisdiction, in accordance with the enclosed notification.

Why Lottery Draw is conducted in KVS admission for 2025-26?

The Lottery Draw for admissions in KVS for the academic year 2025-26 is organized under the supervision of the Principal of the KV school, who serves as the convenor of the event. The Principal is accountable for all aspects of this initiative and will establish a committee to oversee the lottery system, whether conducted online or offline, for all classes.

Option: An additional 6th member can be nominated by the Principal from the students of class IX to XII wherever these classes exist.

How ‘Draw of Lots’ event is conducted in KVS for 2025-26?

The ‘Draw of Lots’ event for the academic year 2025-26 is organized by the individual school management using an online system. The headquarters of KVS has mandated the use of an online lottery portal for the selection of candidates across all classes. The software developed by KVS randomly shuffles the list of names and rearranges it upon the activation of the ‘Lottery Draw’ button. The principal of the KV school provides an explanation to parents during a live session on YouTube, demonstrating how the portal rearranges the name list in a matter of seconds. Subsequently, the final selection list is generated from the online software portal, and this list is deemed conclusive.

When will publish Lottery result in KVS for 2025-26?

The publication date for the KVS Lottery results for the academic year 2025-26 is as follows: the list of selected candidates for Class 1 will be released on March 25, 2025, while the results for Balvatikal classes (1 and 3 only) will be available on March 26, 2025. Following the completion of the online or offline lottery draw, the comprehensive list of selected candidates, along with the waiting list, will be displayed on the notice board of the respective KVS schools. Additionally, this information will be made available in PDF format on their official website. Furthermore, the Ministry of Education’s website (https://www.education.gov.in/kvs/) will also publish all KVS school results categorized in PDF format within one to two days.
